plywood with colour

This kitchenette was designed and built for a mud brick visitor annex. Items had been collected together by the client that included glass bricks, sink, free-standing cooker and fridge.

We aimed to get as much storage and useable bench-top as possible for this small space: for an inaccessible corner we installed a compost bin into and under the bench top with a waste bin under to help keep the clean look overall.

custom made kitchens:

The client had a fairly clear idea of the style she was hoping to achieve and wanted to incorporate colour in a simple way.

A hard wearing low odour paint was sprayed onto the door fronts and the remainder of the plywood was finished with Whittle wax Evolution oil by the client. The resultant effect reflects the art of Piet Mondrian.

The client also sourced the beautiful round door knobs
that fit so well into this kitchenette.
